This is probably my #1 go to face cream that I apply just before I head to bed. Frankincense is one of the best essential oils to use to reduce wrinkles, especially the fine lines around the eye area and forehead. The aloe vera will decrease the oily feel of this face cream.

½ cup organic coconut oil

½ cup shea butter

½ cup organic beeswax

1 teaspoon vitamin E oil ( Vitamin E is used as a preservative, but you can substitute it for sweet almond oil or jojoba oil or another oil that suits your skin’s needs)

¼ cup 100% pure aloe vera gel (yes, this is store bought, but fresh aloe just does not work with this recipe and the fresh aloe does not store well.)

8-10 drops frankincense essential oil

Optional- you can also add lavender, geranium, or tea tree oil (if you have acne prone skin tea tree oil is great) I always add lavender essential oil with the frankincense in this face cream.

This face cream should be whipped in a blender to reach the right consistency. You can add or decrease the ingredients as needed to get the consistency that is right for you.

Place all ingredients into a double boiler except the essential oils and aloe vera gel. Heat slowly until all ingredients are melted. Remove from heat. Add aloe vera gel and essential oils and let sit for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.( You can place in the freezer for 10 minutes to speed up cool down.)

After  cool down, add entire contents into a blender and whip until thick consistency. You can use a hand blender also. If thickness is not as desired when ingredients cool, you can melt down more beeswax and add until you get the consistency you desire. Whipping can take up to 5 -7 minutes, so be patient while you get to your consistency. Add cooled face cream to a glass jar or container of choice and use at bedtime. If you have exceptionally dry skin, you can use in morning and at night.

Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a cool or room temperature area away from heat.
